Less is more - a perfect description of the Rough Series concept. While the cymbal looks unfinished (Rough) the sound is very defined and precise. This is because the sound spectrum has deliberately been limited to mid range frequencies.

To achieve such harmonics we had to develop a completely new way of shaving and hammering the cymbal. The result is a microfine groove, which is hardly visible, and a process of five different types of hammering with extra large hammers.

The results of this development can easily be heard, Rough cymbals perform very well in any situation where microphones are involved. The precision of the midrange sound spectrum makes them the perfect cymbal for the studio and live performance.
